Welcome to our photo journal on Ngorongoro Crater, Africa. After recently spending 10 days exploring Tanzania we left feeling mind blown and with over 6,000 photos to look through! We will detail our itinerary elsewhere but we wanted to show you our favourite photos from each day of our Safari. You can imagine choosing favourites from thousands of photos was quite the challenge!
//Ngorongoro Crater Photo Journal//
As you will see from the photos below, Ngorongoro Crater is not only a fantastic place to spot a wide range of animals but it is also a dramatic setting. Set in the world’s largest inactive volcano, Ngorongoro Crater is unlike anywhere else that we travelled to in Tanzania. There is little shrubbery which makes animal spotting much easier. The negative to this is that it is the only location where we saw other tourists driving around. If it had not been for the group of tourists watching on to the Lion and his Lioness we would not have witnessed their playful behaviour (you will see what we mean below)!
