Byron Bay is one of our favourite places to travel in NSW, our home state in Australia. Lennox Head is not a local secret by far, however if you do not spend time exploring the coast it is easy to miss! Our recent trip to Byron Bay was for three nights in January. As soon as we jumped in the car we went into total relaxation mode.
// Our guide to visiting Lennox Head //
The drive to Byron Bay from Ballina Airport is 30 minutes in comparison to a 45 minute drive if you take the costal road. Without having to even think about our choice when we arrived at Ballina Airport, we took the coastal road. As we rolled over the country side hills we had large open paddocks on the left and a dramatic coastline on the right. What a sight!
Lennox Head is situated on a picturesque headland about 15 minutes from Byron Bay centre. It is a perfect spot to sit in the morning watching the surfers at break point or spend the evening with a cold beer as the sun sets.
On our arrival, we jumped out of the car with our camera and started exploring the beautiful headland. The view from above is very dramatic and makes for a great photo opportunity. Below are some photos from our morning at Lennox Head.
If you plan to visit Lennox Head make sure you do not just stop there, but take the morning exploring the rest of the beautiful Byron Bay coastline. We will be posting additional blogs on things to do in Byron Bay so be sure to check back in!
