Location of Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Tokyo
The Mandarin Oriental occupies the higher floors of the Mitsui skyscraper building in the area of Nihonbashi district. This area blends traditional architecture with modern high-rise skyscrapers. In close vicinity, you will find sidestreets speckled with specialist shops. Also if you enjoy living a glamourous life the area of Ginza is close by. Equally important, the Mitsukoshi-mae station is right underneath the hotel! This means exploring Tokyo is right at your doorstep. Can you see already how this is the best hotel near Tokyo Station?
As you take the elevator to the sky lobby on the 38th floor, you are welcomed by the most inviting views over Tokyo. With Mt Fuji and the Imperial Palace in the background, the views will literally take your breathe away. With double-height ceilings, architect César Pelli has nailed this lobby to a tee! Inspiration for the hotel was drawn from the notion of nature with the building itself representing a single large living tree. Inside, the furnishings and decor help to create a sense of place and warmth with water and wood being used to further explore the concept of nature.

- A very motivational fitness centre on the 38th floor. Even if you have come on holiday not to exercise, you will want to check out the view from this fitness centre!
- An out-of-this-world spa and bathing area which offers endless services. The bathing areas are separated into male and female and respect traditional Japanese practices.
- Other services include room service, on-site parking and wifi throughout the hotel etc.
Also, it is worth noting that the Mandarin Oriental Tokyo has an extremely renowned reputation at their restaurants. Not to mention four of their restaurants hold Michelin Stars. Impressive to say the least! We dined at the Italian Restaurant, K’Shiki on a
